Fady Elassad to Lead Nadec R&D, Quality & Regulatory Agenda

Nadec has taken steps to position the ‘’Quality and Taste’’ agenda at the heart of all activities and products in the company and with its suppliers.
In order to support the ambition stated in the Strategic Plan, Nadec announced the revamp of the R&D, Quality and regulatory department. Patrick Satamian, Chief Executive Officer Nadec Foods said: We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Fady Elassad to lead the newly revamped department, this department is critical to provide the right quality products to our sales teams, hence continuing the 20% growth momentum experienced so far. Also, it will play an important role in the achievement of our Strategic Plan. He added: we will now focus on hiring Heads of the R&D, Quality and Regulatory departments in order to complete the team.
Fady brings with him extensive experience in the Middle East and Developing markets. His extensive 24-year experience expands into innovation R&D, food safety, quality best practices, six sigma, manufacturing operation best practices (Lean, TMP), process optimization, regulatory affairs, audits, commercialization, and management across a wide range of food businesses (dairy based products, juices/water, processing of fruits & vegetables, confectionary, baby foods, tomato products, animal feed, poultry, milling/flour, and bakery products).
Fady joins us from Agthia Group, a publicly listed food company with around AED 1.3 Billion in sales based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Before joining Agthia, he worked with Mars in Dubai, UAE and Cairo, Egypt. He also worked with many different multinational food companies in the USA (PepsiCo/Tropicana,Borden Foods/Heinz, Abbott/Ross laboratory, and FDA).
